In this article we are going to discuss about Competition exams after 12th. As we all know that choosing a right career is a hectic and tough process. It is the decision on which our whole life depends. If we do not take proper decision in choosing right career then we have to struggle throughout our whole life.

As we all know that after passing 12th class there is a big question mark in front of us in the form of further studies decision. This is the right time to decide that in which filed we have to make our career. Sometimes there are many reasons due to which some of the students don’t want to study more and want to find a job for. Competition exams after 12th for government sector:

The charm of government job in India never becomes outdated. That is why every year lakes of students appear in government sector exams. Though competition level is tough still we should try hard to get success in such exam. Some of the exams are listed here. Here one more things I want to let you know that if you prefer further study after 12th then you should go for higher study. Because if you try to find job just after 12th then you have to compromise with third or fourth grade posts only. You have to wait till the promotion to go on a higher post.

1. Staff selection commission :

The most common categories of the exam conducted by SSC for 12th passed candidate are given here. These are the most important competition exams after 12th.

1.1 SSC CHSL :

Staff selection commission conducts exam for 12th pass students every year. This exam commonly known as SSC CHSL exam ( Staff selection commission- common higher secondary level ).

After passing this exam you may secure a post in any govt. establishment as third grade employees like Lower division clerk, Data entry operator.

1.2 SSC Stenographer:

SSC also conducts exams for stenographer in English or Hindi. After passing this exam students may become a stenographer in any central government office.

1.3 SSC GD Constable:

GD CONSTABLE Exam is another exam conducted by SSC. For this exam you have to be physically fit according to the norms of the department. SSC conducts exam for constable in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Assam Rifles.

2. India Army:

You can join Indian army after 12th. This is one of the job with full of  responsibility. Physical fitness is essential to join Indian Army. Indian Army as a soldier :

2.1 Soldier General Duty:

Education Qualification SSLC/Matric and age between 16 to 21.

2.2 Soldier Technician : 

You must be SSLC/Matric (Maths, English and Science) 45% aggregate marks in class 10th. And age between 16 to 23 year. 

2.3 Soldier Clerk/Storekeeper Technician:

It requires same qualification and age as soldier technician.

2.4 Soldier Nursing Assistant :

Qualification and age same as  soldier technician.

Another option in Indian Army is that if you have any diploma or certificate from a food craft institute along with 12th Science then you can apply for Junior Commissioned Officers (Catering) i.e. JCO (Catering) exam.

Indian Army as a Officer:

2.5 NDA : 

if you have passed 12th with maths, physics then you can appear in NDA (National Defense Academy) exam. UPSC conducts this entry level exam.

3. Air force :

You can join Air force as an Airmen. There are 14 Airmen selection centers located in India. The following options are available for an intermediate passed students:

Group ‘X’ trade (Except Education Instructor) : In this  post the qualification requires ‘passed 12th with Maths, Physics and English minimum 50% marks’.

Group ‘Y’ trade : Passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, minimum 50 % marks is required.

4. Police:

A 12th pass student may join the state police department as a constable. Approximately for every state police department, the minimum qualification for constable is 12th pass. 

5. Railways:

In Indian Railways many 4th class vacancy are usually for 12th pass candidates. You can join as Junior Clerk, Peon, Steno, Typist etc.in Indian Railway. Selection process include written test & document verification. For some post interviews are also conducted. 

6. Forest Department:

The options available in forest department for a 12th pass students are as follows.

Forest guard : A pass in Higher Secondary Course (Matric + 12th Class) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology or Botany as one of the Subject.
Wildlife Guard : Minimum qualification is 10th class Pass or Matriculation Pass.

Game watcher: Minimum qualification is 10th class Pass or Matriculation Pass.

7. Indian coast guard :

Navik (General Duty)Educational Qualification:10+2 (Matric with 12th class) passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Central/State Government with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

8. DSSSB : 

DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board) conducts exam for Group C and Group B posts. The post like Assistants, Store Keeper, Stenographer, Fee Collector and Technical posts to be filled in different government departments under Delhi government. Some of these posts requires 12th pass candidates.

9 Banking : 

You can join National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) as Office Assistance. Qualification for this post is 10th Passed Standard (S.S.C./ Matriculation) from the concerned State/ UT coming under the State/ Regional Office to which the candidate is applying.

10 Some Other competition exams after 12th:

Here is the list of some other competition exams for a 12th pass students.

10.1 DRDO entry test for Multi Tasking Staff.

10.2 Water water Board conducts exam for Stenographer and different 4th class employees.

10.3 Central Governments different departments conduct exams for group 4 employees. Most of them requires 12th pass students. 

10.4 State governments different departments conducts exams for 12th passed candidates. 

10.5 High Court conducts exam for stenographer and various clerical posts that requires higher secondary pass candidate.
